Privacy Policy

TikTok Lookup ("we", "the tool") is a free OSINT utility for checking whether an email address or username is associated with a TikTok account. This policy explains exactly what data is processed when you use the site, and what we deliberately do not collect.

What we process

• Lookup inputs (email / username): sent to TikTok's API in real time to perform the check. They are not stored in our database after the request completes.
• Anonymised usage counts: we keep aggregate totals (number of email and username lookups) for the public statistics shown on the homepage. These counts contain no personal data.
• IP address: processed transiently for abuse prevention (rate limiting, captcha verification, and blocking malicious scanners). If an abuse rule is triggered, the IP address is stored temporarily in a firewall blocklist to protect the infrastructure.
• Session cookie: a single first-party cookie (ttlookup_session) used to keep a short-lived visitor session. It is HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax.

What we never do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties.
• We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.
• We do not retain the specific emails or usernames you look up.

Third parties

Lookups are answered using TikTok's own API endpoints; your query is transmitted to TikTok to obtain a result. We use hCaptcha to protect the lookup forms from automated abuse — hCaptcha may process your IP and interaction data under its own privacy policy. All web fonts and icons (Font Awesome) are served locally from our own server — no requests are made to Google, Cloudflare, or other font/CDN providers.

Data retention

Visitor sessions are automatically cleared a few minutes after inactivity. Aggregate lookup counts are kept indefinitely because they contain no personal information. Abuse-related IP bans are kept only as long as the security threat persists and are reviewed periodically.

Your choices

Because we do not retain lookup inputs or maintain user accounts, there is no personal profile to export or delete. For any privacy question or an IP-removal request, contact us via the Contact Support page.
